The moment I read the premise, I bought the book. After all, it is a story about King Midas’s cursed daughter, Kora.
Once read, I thought it was a fun novel. Kora makes for a great lead character because she is kind and wounded. Though I waited for something sassier in her personality and it never did come. That could be just me.
I did not fall in love with the main couple’s relationship, but I wanted to know what happened next. This might be because the relationship seemed like insta-love to me. The plot works though I did predict a few of the twists. I personally have no problem with that as long as it’s interesting and it was.
The descriptions popped making me feel I was out at sea with the characters. The story maintained high tension and allowed for good breathers with lots of intrigue. It didn’t lose my interest, and there were some very cool magical elements.
Overall, I recommend this book if you are looking for a fun, low heat level romance adventure with King Midas’s daughter.
